R. Concepts formed in 2006 with the mission of executing creative ideas. The company strives to educate, entertain and inspire audiences by transforming concepts into quality media. We specialize in documentaries, video marketing, television and digital programming for clients and audiences worldwide.
THE FOUNDER
Rakeda Lashae Ervin has more than ten years of experience as a producer and director. Her credits are with networks like A&E, NBC and MTV.
Rakeda Lashae's career began at Warner Bros., with work on various television series and feature film, Cats and Dogs. She went on to join VH1, lending her producing and directing talent on the Emmy winning series, Behind The Music. Other VH1 shows on her credit list include Driven, Hip Hop Babylon and Ultimate Albums, which earned several award nominations. Rakeda Lashae recently served as Supervising Producer on BET's, My First BET Awards, producing webisodes that feature best new artists. In addition, she's produced episodes of NBC documentary series, E! True Hollywood Story and E! Investigates.
Her independent work includes shorts films, music videos and The N Word, a Peabody Award winning documentary she associate produced. Rakeda Lashae is the first director to chronicle the politics of Generation X through her documentary, X= A Generation Evolved. The film is scheduled to premiere in 2012. Currently, Rakeda Lashae serves as a mentor with Women in Cinema, a UT, Austin film organization.
